Positive Outcomes makes SwiftPOS a hands-down winner for Yarraville Club
“I just can’t believe it’s so easy!” is the reaction of Kate, the Operations Manager at the Yarraville Club, when asked about their SwiftPOS system from Positive Outcomes. “Building the tills, linking the products, setting up and performing stocktake – nothing is hidden; it’s all so simple.”
The Yarraville Club has been in existence for over 100 years and is a hospitality and entertainment venue for members and the community, offering restaurants, function rooms, entertainment, kids areas, gaming and snooker rooms. It’s a large venue, with multiple points of sale handling food, drink, memberships and promotions, and with a sub-let restaurant, so the club needed to select a system that, whilst being simple to use, could handle these complex needs. Kate also loves the added services that they can now offer their members, such as the Door Access Controller. “We have a members-only door, where they just scan their card, the system does a validity check and lets them in. Our members love it, it makes them feel special. Some of them have been with us a very long time and this sort of service is really important to us”
“We can also run gaming promotions, such as ‘What’s in the box’ and ‘Colossus’, which are only open to members, who access the games by swiping their card to play”. SwiftPOS is the only system to offer this functionality and Kate says that it has actually increased membership; “We’ve had people signing up just so they can play”, she explains. Other promotions link a purchase in the club to an entry into a draw, and SwiftPOS prints the entry ticket with the member’s details on it. The club also uses the system to print membership cards, so that new members get their card immediately on joining.
The Yarraville Club sub-lets its restaurant, and part of the appeal of SwiftPOS from Positive Outcomes is that Peckish, the operator, can use the same system. “They have their own setup” says Kate, “with their own specials, which they can set up really quickly, using the same system we use in the rest of the club”. This means that Kate can easily view data from the restaurant, which she uses to generate the monthly bill. “Both Peckish and the club can be 100% certain that the billing is accurate, because we both see the same data”.
Kate stresses that support is really important, and Positive Outcomes certainly deliver; “The tech support was amazing – Jesse came out on site to help us, and Positive Outcomes ran training for us and for Peckish at their offices”.
