A Little About Me

What do you do when you’re obsessed with technology and enjoy heading to pubs a little more than your suppose to? You work at a POS company! I’ve worked at a number of hospitality venues in Sydney, Canberra and since settling in Melbourne found my calling in Point of Sale.

When the suns down you’ll find me on the couch watching Sci-Fi with a craft beer. If you can’t find me there I’m being tuckered out entertaining my little boy and his fur brother Nacho. I think I fit work in there somewhere as well….

I’m passionate about helping people achieve more with technology. If you’re looking to get more out of SwiftPOS, need advice about technology to help your business grow, or want to chat about the latest episode of Silicon Valley give me a call!

Question Time…

  • What’s your role and how long have you worked for Positive Outcomes? Manager – Customer Experience, 3.5 years
  • What jobs did you have before coming to work here? I’m a hospitality veteran through and through. My first job was a dishwater at my aunties café when I was 16 and I’ve slowly worked my way up until becoming a venue manager. I’ve worked for multiple POS companies in Melbourne and worked as a systems and network administrator for an I.T. company specialising in electronic documents and records management.
  • Education? Currently studying Bachelor of Business (Information Systems)
  • Who’s the funniest at work? Matt and Andrew get a few good one liners in now and then
  • What’s the boss’s favourite saying or habit? Chris… can you help me erase my browser history again?
  • What’s the coolest site you’ve visited while working here? The Australia Open
  • Where did you grow up? The Shire
  • Favourite movie? The Fifth Element
  • Who has bought the best and worst Friday arvo beers? Still waiting for someone to bring in a double IPA….
  • What’s the coolest feature in SwiftPOS that you’ve found? The voucher and gift card system is really cool. Every time I look at it I’m learning something new
  • If you could be anywhere right now where would you be? Queenstown with a glass of local Pinot in my hand
  • Any hidden talents? I managed to break both my arms at the same time once while overseas. Not everyone can do that right?
  • Favourite quote? Have you tried turning it off and back on again?

A Little About Me

I am one of the Support Consultants here at Positive Outcomes. I am a man of simple tastes, I love watching sport and I love a cold beer! Unfortunately, I’m a tortured Carlton supporter… but I am a blessed Toronto Raptors supporter! Sometimes you have to take the good with the bad.

Snowboarding is my favourite pastime, nothing beats a blue skies day on the mountain! I also love sitting on the beach on a scorching hot sunny day. You could say I’m pretty happy all year around.

Question Time…

  • What’s your role and how long have you worked for Positive Outcomes? I’ve worked at Positive Outcomes for three and a half years. My role is a Support and Implementation Consultant. I help clients with issues they may be facing with their POS System as well as install new systems.
  • What jobs did you have before coming to work here? Only one! I worked at the Plough Hotel doing the night shift in the Gaming Room.
  • Education? I completed VCE at Eltham College.
  • Who’s the funniest at work? Me, obviously
  • What’s the boss’s favourite saying or habit? He enjoys replying to e-mails at 3am sometimes!
  • What’s the coolest site you’ve visited while working here? I absolutely love working at the Australian Open at Melbourne & Olympic Parks.
Maybe I’m biased, but I also love working at Etihad Stadium. It’s amazing how different it is when there aren’t 40,000 people there.
  • Where did you grow up? I grew up in the Diamond Valley. Primarily around Greensborough, Plenty and Diamond Creek.
  • Favourite movie? Has to be Saving Private Ryan!
  • Who has bought the best and worst Friday arvo beers? I can’t remember who it was, but somebody bought Carlsberg once. Should be a crime! Nobodies bought Vics yet, so we haven’t seen the best.
  • What’s the coolest feature in SwiftPOS that you’ve found? My favourite feature would have to be the API. It opens up a whole world of possibilities by allowing third-party software to access data contained within SwiftPOS to allow integration. One example is the new PDT, that accesses the database directly and updates product information live, while easily pushing stocktake counts to the database without the need for exporting/importing from the handheld device.
  • If you could be anywhere right now where would you be? On top of a Canadian mountain, or on a Sunny beach somewhere hot.
  • Any hidden talents? I can communicate with EPSON Printers telepathically.
  • Favourite quote? “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting things to change”

A Little About Me

I am a Software Support Consultant and worked as a gaming attendant and administrator before taking this role. I love science, technology and taking things apart to see how they work. On the days I’m not playing soccer I’m probably watching it. Dogs are the most precious things on earth, not saying I like them more than humans but if there was a dog and a human drowning and I could only save one of them I would probably save the dog.
